My second week of work continues fairly slowly, but should pick up next week. I'm really looking forward to digging into the project they will have me on. In the meantime, on Wednesday after work, I went to a happy hour for the Michigan interns and alumni who are Toyota staff. Now, I'm pretty sure they did not invite every employee who went to U of M, but I'm not clear on what kind of subset it was (perhaps alumni of the General Management Associate (GMA) program, former interns, friends of former GMAs?). In any case, it was very nice of them and since I love Michigan people, it was a quite enjoyable time. They had it at this bar on Redondo Pier, called Naja's Place. It had a lot of different beers on tap, and they apparently specialized in Belgian beers. Hence, the photos of all the taps they had (neither photo came out quite as I had hoped.)
