It is awesome to look down from where you are at a stoplight and see the ocean.
This is a pier in Hermosa, but I don't think it is "Hermosa Pier". Not sure, though. It was really windy that day and has continued to be so, especially by the beach. Doesn't make for warm days! It's what they call "May Gray". Can't wait for "June Gloom"!
Hermosa and Manhattan Beaches are known for all the beach volleyball. These are some of the nets set up on the beach.
The houses on this stretch of beach are quite beautiful and each one is unique.
Here you can can see part of the Strand, a wide sidewalk on which people walk, run, rollerblade, and bike. It stretches at least from Santa Monica down to Redondo. At this point, it split into two -- the upper part on which I am standing is for pedestrians whereas the bottom part is for bikes.
